I have a passion for helping people live the best life they can and having worked in mental health for well over 20 years I have seen many changes in the way this occurs.
After 15 years in the public sector I joined Goodwood Park Trust in 1996 and was appointed CEO in 2007.
My husband and I have lived and worked in West Auckland all our lives and spend most of our free time bringing up our two teenage children.
I look forward to the next phase in the development of Goodwood Park Healthcare. My door is always open so please feel free to pop in or contact me at dwood@goodwood.org.nz.

Erica Beattie
Clinical Director/Board Member

I have been a Trustee at Goodwood since its establishment in 1988 and I now work in the role of Clinical Director.
After graduating as a Registered Comprehensive Nurse in 1981 at Christchurch Polytechnic I moved to Auckland where I worked at Greenlane Hospital and then moved to Carrington Hospital.
I then traveled overseas working in Australia and the UK.
I am mother to four children have been married to Andrew for 25 years.

Laraine Stevens
Chief Financial Officer
Laraine has worked at Goodwood Park Trust for 20 years and was appointed to the position of CFO in 2007.
She has played an integral role in the growth and development of the organization and works closely with the management team and a variety of external stakeholders on a day to day basis.
In her “other life” Laraine is a mother, wife and slave to the family pets, whilst enjoying the delights New Zealand has to offer.

Andrew Beattie
Rehabilitation Director/Board Member

Andrew has worked in Mental Health for over 30 years and has worked in various roles and settings within the industry.
In 2007 he sat as the ACC appointed providers representative on the National Guidelines committee who were responsible for the published Guidelines for Brain Injury rehabilitation.
He is a Registered Comprehensive Nurse and in his personal life is married to Erica and has five children. He is also the Chief Fire Officer at the Kumeu/Huapai Fire Station and a keen sportsman.

Ken Boler
Board Member
Ken gained his ACA qualification in 1982 and was admitted to membership of the New Zealand Institute of Chartered Accountants in the same year. He was appointed a Business Advisory Partner of Brown Woolley and Graham, Chartered Accountants in 1985 at the age of 28.
Brown Woolley and Graham evolved over time to become Grant Thornton Auckland.
Ken was a Director/Partner of Grant Thornton Auckland specialising in business planning and development, performance monitoring and financial management, structuring for asset protection and taxation efficiencies up until his retirement from full time chartered accounting at the end of December 2009.
Ken's focus now is on assisting the Goodwood Park Healthcare Group to continue its dynamic development as a leading provider of Mental Health Care and Traumatic Brain Injury rehabilitation services.
Ken has been the accountant to Goodwood Park from its inception in 1991 and appointed a Trustee in 2001. Ken has lived in the Huapai – Kumeu area all of his life and has developed a particular interest in mental health.
Ken’s outside of work interests include spending time with his family, boating, camping, and quad biking.

Kenny Paton
Service Leader
My name is Kenny Paton and I have recently joined the Trust in the new role of Service Leader and am really excited by the challenge and the opportunity to help grow and develop the organization.
I have an Honours Degree in Social Work and a Diploma in Youth and Community Work and have been working with people for the past 20 years in a variety of fields including homelessness, alcohol and drugs, youth, crime and mental health.
I am married with three girls and emigrated to NZ just over two years ago and now live as a Westie in the lovely village of Huia.

Sarah Crookes
Coordinator of Complex Packages of Care
I have recently joined Goodwood Park Trust as Coordinator of Complex Packages of Care, working with people with Complex Mental Health issues combined with high personal support needs. I graduated at UNITEC in 2005 with a Bachelor of Social Practice majoring in Social Work.
I am very passionate about supporting people to reach their goals and to attain the best level of recovery possible given their health concerns. I have previously worked across several sectors of the Social Services from advocacy, working with victims of crime, care and protection, mental health in forensics and the community.
My most recent role was assessing and working with clients referred by ACC with serious brain and spinal injuries. I have resided in West Auckland for the past twenty years, have two beautiful children and very much enjoy the environmental lifestyle that Waitakere brings.
